A: 2-cycle Generator: 2-cycle Air Cooled Engine oil with a ratio of 40:1 or 3.2 oz per 1 Gallon of Gas. Do not use Marine grade 2-cycle oil.
A: 4-cycle Generator: SAE 10w-30 API SJ or SL
A: Diesel Generator: 15W40 High Detergent
A: For exact quantities refer to your owners manual. 4-cycle engines fill to the top mark on the dipstick. Be careful as too much oil can do just as much damage as too little. IF you overfill just lean it over and drain the excess out the fill into an EPA approved container.
A: 30 minutes of unloaded run time. Change the oil after the first 20 hrs. of run time. Then every 50 hrs. after that.
A: 3 minutes or until no more air comes out of the system.
A: Always store the pressure washer, parts, and accessories in an area with a temperature above 0° C (32° F).
If you must store it somewhere else follow the instructions below:
GAS
A: Tip the unit on its side with the inlet connection pointing up.
- Insert a small funnel (to prevent spilling) into the inlet and pour in approximately 1/4 cup of antifreeze.
- Disconnect spark plug wire.
- Pull the recoil several times to circulate the antifreeze in the pump system.
Another method of reducing risks of freeze damage is to drain your pressure washer as follows:
- Stop the pressure washer and detach garden supply hose and high pressure hose. Squeeze the trigger of the discharge gun to drain all water from the wand and hose.
- Restart the pressure washer and let it run briefly (5 seconds) until water no longer discharges from the high pressure outlet.
Engine Storage
When the pressure washer is not being used or is being stored for more than a month follow these instructions:
- Replenish engine oil to upper level.
- Drain gasoline from fuel tank, fuel line, fuel valve and carburetor.
- Pour about one teaspoon of engine oil through the sparkplug hole, pull the recoil a few times to distribute oil. Pull the recoil starter slowly until you feel increase pressure which indicates the piston is on its compression stroke and leave it in the position. This closes both the intake and exhaust valves to prevent the inside of the cylinder from rusting.
- Cover the pressure washer and store in a clean, dry place that is well ventilated away from open flame or sparks.
NOTE: The use of a fuel additive, such as STA-BIL, or an equivalent, will minimize the formulation of fuel gum deposits during storage.
ELECTRIC
After disconnecting the water supply, and before disconnecting the high-pressure hose, turn the pressure washer on for 2-3 seconds, Squeeze the trigger until any remaining water in the pump exits. Turn unit off immediately.
A: No, the pump comes pre-lubed from factory. If you decide to change your oil the recommended oil is SAE 30 non detergent. It should be filled 1/2 way.
